Education

Education and criminal justice are two topics that have caused some drama for quite some time now. In 1964 President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act. This made any sort of discrimination in school, work, or any other place "unlawful." Before this there was discrimination everywhere, everything was segregated and one of the things affected by this was the education of many people. Although education is something that becomes increasingly more important to our future, it is something that has many problems throughout. Many people think there are problems on anything from the finance, to testing, to simply the material covered. Both Ted Cruz and Beto O'rourke. Beto believes public taxes should go to public, not private schools, believes there should be no discrimination in school based on sex or gender identity in students, and funding should be increased in lower-income communities. Cruz wishes to altogether abolish the U.S. Department of Education. He does not believe they should have the authority to set the curriculum for the state.

Education is something many people disagree on, yet it is an issue very important to be taken care of.
Although people disagree on what ways to improve education, many people agree there is something that needs to be done about it. Texas specifically lies in the bottom 20% of the U.S. states in public education levels, being in this spot causes more Texans, and candidates from Texas to want to improve the education levels that we face here, so it has become a very important issue for candidates from Texas to address. I think education is one of the most important problems we are facing today. Education is so very important to the future of not just individual people, but of our country. We need to be able to solve the holes in our education system in order to better the future of education in our country.
