Personally, I think that the biggest issue going into this election is probably Immigration. Texas is on the border with Mexico, so obviously border security is a very big issue in todays age. This is also combined with Trump saying that he wants to build a wall on the border between us and Mexico, making the question of if it will actually happen another part of the issue. I personally think that the idea of building a wall all the way across the border is impractical because the border is thousands of miles long. The wall would most likely cost billions of dollars, take years to build, and screw up the Unites State's diplomatic relations with Mexico. I do think border security is an issue, but I think there should be more things done to help the undocumented immigrants who are crossing over. The reason why many people might be entering the US illegally is because they don't have any money, and are unable to legally immigrate as such. I feel like we could do something to help these people out, and do such as provide them with a way to legally become a citizen. It would probably cost less to actually help immigrants out instead of detain and eventually deport them if they're caught coming over. Along with that it would benefit the people coming over, because it would allow more opportunities for them to get jobs, and contribute to the economy.
