Political Views - Arwa Rasool

A persons political views usually depend on a group of things, more specifically being their level of education, family or individual income, racial group/identity, sex/gender, and religion. First, going into education, it really does greatly depend on how much education you are able to get from childhood all the way through to adulthood because it shapes your mind into a perspective or way of thinking, and it also gives you a certain amount of knowledge and/or information, based on how much education you are able to get. Personally, for me, I feel like I've had enough education so far to be knowledgable about whether I am republican or liberal, but at the same time, I feel like I haven't learnt enough to know whether to vote to pass a bill or to not pass a bill. Generally, I feel like the more educated you are in your daily life, the more knowledge and greater judgement you have about politics. Second, going into family or individual income, I think that a persons political views also greatly depend on it. For example, a low income family and/or individual, would make the choice to vote for a candidate or pass a bill, that benefits low income families and/or individuals. While, a high income family or individual would rather vote for a candidate or pass a bill, that would benefit more high income families and/or individuals. For me, personally, I think that my families income does weigh heavily upon our political choices when voting for a local candidate or passing a bill. Third, going into racial group/identity, I think this, again, weighs heavily on an individual's political choices because there are many racist candidates for senate and now, president, so that would greatly change a persons choice of who they're voting for senate or president if that candidate was racist towards their racial group/identity. For me personally, it does weigh heavily upon my decisions and my opinions towards political candidates, whether they're racist or not. Fourth, going into sex/gender, political choices generally sometimes do depend on whether you are a man, woman, or anything else you identify as. What I am saying is that, sometimes it does heavily depend on your sex and/or gender, and sometimes it doesn't, because there might be some candidates that are sexist, but there are also some that are not, so I personally feel like it is 50/50 most of the time. Fifth, and lastly, going into religion, I think that this is one of the biggest things that make peoples political choices what they are because currently, in society today, there are many, many candidates and/or officials out there that have many views against certain religions. For example, many officials today, like the President, have very skewed views against Muslims and Islam, which personally affects me and my political choices, which are against the President.
So, in conclusion, I feel that most daily aspects of majority of people's lives greatly affect their political choices individually, and if they're the same in all of these aspects, in family too.
