There are many things that can influence someone's political views. Most children are first introduced to
politics at a young age through their parents. The majority of parents want their children to follow in their footsteps
although sometimes these things are simply overheard and internalized. As children grow, they experience more
outside influence from their peers and the internet. When children go to school they are often introduced to more
ideas and different opinions. This can also be said about the internet as our world has become very digitized and
younger children have access to the internet. Usually by the age fourteen-sixteen kids start to branch off from their
parents and develop their own perspectives.

I think school and education play a big part in someone’s political views. This is no surprise as most of our
early lives take place in a school environment. Depending on someone’s school or level of education, they may
have different political opinions based on what will better help them. For someone with a lower education, they’re
going to have a harder time finding a job so anyone who can make it easier has their vote.

Region has an affect on political opinion as well. Depending on the history or background of your region, you
may have varying opinions. I also believe peer pressure may play a part here. If you notice most of the people
around you are overly supportive of one candidate and openly critical of the other, you’re going to have a harder
time voting for them. Also, if the people around you are mostly supporting one candidate, you are most likely going
to hear all good things about that person which may sway your view.
