Political Views
Many kids don't know what their political view is at this age. Many just follow what their parents believe. I think that peoples political views usually come down to how their life situation. If someone has a decent income they would more likely think that freedom is more important than equality vs if someone who didn't get a lot of money and maybe had to work two or three jobs to support themselves and/or their families then they would value equality more and want the government to provide jobs. This isn't always the case but it is a theory. For abortions, I think that people don't realize how scary it is to get an unwanted pregnancy at any age. Females are more for the freedom of abortion because they are the ones who are pregnant and the males are more for order and limiting the abortions. This is most likely because they don't understand the scariness and the hard work and sacrifice it takes to have an unwanted and surprise pregnancy.
I have never really thought about politics. It's never been something I have bothered to learn about because from what I hear from friends and family it's pretty messed up. Unfortunately, this seems like the age where you need to learn to take care of yourself, by yourself which includes learning about the politics of our world and figuring out your individual beliefs. For me what I do know right now is that I don't want to be in a category about what I believe and be expected to be exactly like the others in that category. I have my own beliefs that don't fit into one category. For example, I believe in the freedom to have an abortion. I don't think people should be given jobs and instead should earn them but that doesn't mean the government shouldn't help the less fortunate that are put into a bad situation that they couldn't control. I think that the government should help promote equality of genders, sexuality, and race. I also believe that freedom of religion is very important. As for many other things I still need to figure that out. Of course, if your views change it will affect your political choices. For example, if you start liking vanilla ice cream instead of chocolate, then when you go to Marble Slab you'll choose vanilla over chocolate. It's the same with your beliefs and choices.
