Shared Economy - A Shared Vacation
For my shared economy idea I thought about the necessity of vacation for working families, couples, ect. My idea would essentially be a shared Airbnb which would reduce the cost of the original vacation. Two or more families could pick a location (L.A. for example) where they could find a semi large house that they would be able to rent but stay in together. In the end, this makes vacations that much cheaper as the bill is split so to speak. In doing so families not only have that much more to spend (money wise) in the city or place they chose to visit but the frequency in which said family takes a vacation may become more probable. The families wouldn’t be required to spend time with each other they simply just sleep under the same roof for x number of nights. This would also be primarily for larger groups of people so that the overall cost would be cheaper. As for solo travelers, this wouldn’t necessarily support them as its almost suspicious. Another way this could be used is to travel with people you know or family friends at a more affordable price while also staying in a more familiar environment. Pets would also be allowed based on the owner's tolerance. The amount of families able to stay would be based on the owners willingness to let multiple families roam throughout the house. In addition, a house can only hold so many and so space may become an issue at a certain point. However, the principal idea still stands, making vacations more affordable for a variety of families and people while still giving them the luxury of choosing where they would like to stay.
