Selling Gently Used Pet Supplies: a Sharing Economy - Sarah Seeliger
Selling Gently Used Pet Supplies
The sharing economy I would like to start is selling gently used pet supplies like ped beds, collars, toys, leashes, crates, etc. Pet supplies can be expensive, and some poeple with pets can't afford much more than pet food and vet care, both of which are expensive. If a sharing economy for gently used pet supplies, excluding food, existed, then people could buy pet supplies that is possibly better than what they have for less money.
My company would be online, and it would be run similarly to Etsy. This means that if someone wants to sell their pet supplies, they have to make an account and post pictures of their things along with the price and a description of the product. There would be rules including the following: no selling food, selling things with holes, rips, tears, or fringe is prohibited, and things that are sold have to be washed before they are delivered to the customers. On my website, people will be able to review each other based on the quality of the product, timeliness of shipping, and customer service, which is similar to Etsy.
