Sharing Economy Idea

My sharing economy idea involves creating a solution for our current parking limitations at the high school. I would run it by, at the beginning of each week, having high school students sign up to reserve a parking slot that would belong to them for that week. There will be six slots available for reservation. Students would take advantage of this opportunity because they wouldn't have to arrive at school at the crack of dawn every morning in order to get a parking spot on campus. However, there's a catch, transforming the solution to a sharing economy that also benefits our community. It involves what highschoolers love the most...free food. If you are one of the six highschoolers that signed up to reserve a parking slot that week, you are responsible for bringing food for 15 students (one-sixth of the class). You don't have to bring a full-on meal; ideas include donuts, candy, homemade goods, treats etc.

This idea emerged because, recently in the Post Oak Gala, a reserved parking space for every school day next year sold for $3,000 dollars. I found out that the person who bought this will be paying $18.5 a day if you consider that the parking space would be used approximately 160 days (amount of school days in a year). Therefore, if students have the opportunity to have a reserved slot for less than $18.5 dollars a day, that's a deal. For example, a box of brownies at HEB is $3.75! That is a great deal; saving $14.75!  Plus, if you reserve a spot and you carpool with a group of friends, you can split the cost of the food, making it an even better deal!
