Sharing Economy: writing utensils

At our school, Id like to start a sharing economy of school supplies. For example, nearly everyone loses their pens and pencils 2 weeks into school. But, those who are able to keep them intact, should trade them out for other things they like better. For example, the "penny" or "spare change" would be the regular old wood pencil. The next tier would be the crappy cheap mechanical pencils. The next tier would be the fancy mechanical pencil. For pens, same thing applies. People can trade a fancy pencil for 2 crappy pencils for example. But, if no one has any pencils or pens and wants one, other supplies can come into play, like paper clips, paper, sticky notes, etc
