The Best Sharing Economy :)
My sharing economy is going to be an app where owners of music studios list up their studios with available times and musicians in need of a studio, can rent out the studio. Studios are often very difficult to find, and it takes time to learn about available times. This app would make it so that the musician in need of studio time could see available days and hours as well as where the studio is located. The people that list their studios up would be able to advertise key features such as a very high quality microphone or something of that sorts. Having an app for this would have many benefits for both parties.
If the app got big enough, that would mean that there would be a lot competition, especially in bigger cities. Competition would likely lead to lower prices which would be extremely beneficial for the musicians. Studios putting their key features would also add somewhat of a tiered system. There would be the higher-end studios which charge more and the lower-tier studios which would charge less. This would make it so that there are options for all musicians, regardless of budget. This app would also have many benefits for the studios.
Instead of studio owners going out and trying to find musicians in need of studios, they would come to them. While the price of studio time would drop, they would likely have many more customers than before. The best feature of the app would be the amount of time it would save people. Musicians would know that there was an app they could go to to find a studio, and studio managers would have a reliable stream of musicians without having to constantly go out and find them.
Then I, as the app owner, would make my money by taking a small fee when musicians rent out the place. I would take the fee out of what the studio makes so if the studio charges 100$ an hour, I would take a cut out of that so that the musician pays 100$ without an additional fee on top of that. If there was a lot of pushback about that, I would just make the musician pay an additional fee on top of what they’re paying for studio time.
