Thoughts on Engagement

There are multiple things I would like to do to make an impact in suicide prevention. One of the things I am considering doing is making flyers that give facts about suicide and that have the suicide hotline number as well as local places people can go to get help. Another idea I have is to make bracelets or keychains to bring awareness to suicide, and I would donate the money I make from them to a nonprofit in Houston that helps with suicide prevention.  Something I could do that I think would make a big impact in suicide prevention would be to educate people about suicide, prevention of it, and how to help people dealing with suicidal thoughts. I could do this by making a presentation or an social media post. Something else that I think would make an impact would be interviewing people who have had suicidal thoughts or have lost someone to suicide and see what they say helped them. I think this would be a good way to tell people how to help if someone they know is struggling with suicidal thoughts. Something that I have seen on the internet before that I think I could do to make an impact is make a short film to raise awareness to suicide. I could do this by making a story about someone struggling with suicidal tendencies and make the underlying message of the film suicide prevention. I think something else that would make an impact would be making sure that there are people at school that would be able to talk to and help people with suicidal thoughts.

Sharing Economy- Luke

Luke Kirchner       After much thinking, I have realized that sharing economies can be created from almost anything. I decided to make create something about sharing home decor. This would include things like paintings, ornaments and other small things to decorate your house. One challenging thing that would need to be sorted out, would be the value of the objects. Art is very subjective and can be valued very differently by other people. The market would have to establish it self to truly assign a price to different pieces. This would be a great way to make some money off of pieces of art that usually aren't seen and this would allow the renter to spruce up their house.       An app would be used to connect people and would ask for necessary information.
