Thoughts on Engagement


As of now, I'm not really quite sure of what I want to do for my engagement part of the project. I considered trying to find local group or activist organizations around autism,.but all I've really been able to find close to that are support groups or organizations whose goals don’t have enough in common with what i’d like to focus on in my project. From what I notice also, is that a lot of the autistic community is online.  So far, I believe my best bet is doing something revolving more around media. As of now, i think i want to make a website/blog.The pros to a website would be that I’d be able to incorporate different digital mediums such as video, writing, design, and such all in one thing. It will also be easier to advertise ,since all I’ll have to do is advertise the link. As far as accessibility goes, anyone can make and access a website. Since I’m not very tech savvy, I’ll certainly need help to make it, and figure out the ends and outs of operating a website. I’m thinking about once my theoretical website is up and running, possibly making posters to put up around the area to prompt people to check it out. I think that perhaps in the future, to maybe make it a sort of brand/organization/thing and spread it out to different social media sites, but perhaps as of now it might be best to stick to just a website before I get too ahead of myself.

El Salvador has a limit for a single 5-year term which means that the current president,  Sánchez Cerén  will not be able to run for this election. Sharing Economy- Luke

Luke Kirchner       After much thinking, I have realized that sharing economies can be created from almost anything. I decided to make create something about sharing home decor. This would include things like paintings, ornaments and other small things to decorate your house. One challenging thing that would need to be sorted out, would be the value of the objects. Art is very subjective and can be valued very differently by other people. The market would have to establish it self to truly assign a price to different pieces. This would be a great way to make some money off of pieces of art that usually aren't seen and this would allow the renter to spruce up their house.       An app would be used to connect people and would ask for necessary information.
