Thoughts on Engagement

After detailed research, I realized that there weren't many impactful ways that I could impact or help the Kashmir conflict. One of the ideas I am considering is contacting the multiple out of state organizations, as there aren't any local ones, and helped them with their programs and events that are trying to help bring awareness and shed light on the Kashmir conflict. One of the ways I was thinking of working with them was to actively try to engage with them and become involved with their organization and eventually, participate with them in bringing awareness. I think this would be a good and feasible idea because there aren't many organizations that are actively trying to bring awareness to this Kashmir conflict, so I think it would be beneficial to contact and engage with them somehow. Another idea I had was to post my actual paper onto one of the blogs and news sites that are dedicated to this conflict, as it is a site where people post their own writings and articles about the Kashmir conflict, it would be another way that I could engage and actively impact the conflict in someway somehow. One last idea I had was to work on a letter campaign to the elected representatives and members of the United Nations commission on human rights to raise awareness of this issue. I am also going to try to contact some of the few more local representatives in and around Houston that are also trying to bring awareness of the conflict.

Sharing Economy- Luke

Luke Kirchner       After much thinking, I have realized that sharing economies can be created from almost anything. I decided to make create something about sharing home decor. This would include things like paintings, ornaments and other small things to decorate your house. One challenging thing that would need to be sorted out, would be the value of the objects. Art is very subjective and can be valued very differently by other people. The market would have to establish it self to truly assign a price to different pieces. This would be a great way to make some money off of pieces of art that usually aren't seen and this would allow the renter to spruce up their house.       An app would be used to connect people and would ask for necessary information.
