Adidas Racist Shoes

Adidas made a big mistake recently. For Black History Month, they released a sneaker to celebrate the month. It was an all white "uncaged" shoe. It's basically a more updated version of ultra boosts. The public was very angered by these shoes. The fact that they were all white, and named "uncaged" were two very bad factors. Especially when they were released to celebrate Black History Month. The shoes were being bashed all over social media. Adidas then put out this statement "Toward the latter stages of the design process, we added a running shoe to the collection that we later felt did not reflect the spirit or philosophy of how Adidas believes we should recognize and honor Black History Month. After careful consideration, we have decided to withdraw the product from the collection." I do not think this apology was sincere enough, but they clearly do not care enough to be more sympathetic towards their mistakes. This type of thing is happening to many other brands who are not considering what they are putting out to the public. They really need to be more careful and understand how they may be affecting people.
