I think that this problem is not going unnoticed. There are many organizations that are trying to help this problem, like the Polaris Project, which operates the National Human Trafficking Resource Center hotline, provides services and support for trafficking victims, and works with survivors to help end human trafficking. Other American organizations that help this problem include, Prajwala, Urban Light, GoodWeave, and countless other nonprofits and charities. I think that we need to continue to fight this problem as it traumatizing and dehumanizing so many people in America.

Human Trafficking In America
Many people believe that slavery ended a while ago, but despite the laws that outlaw it there are many people living in slavery today. It is estimated that over 150 billion dollars is made in the human trafficking industry with human traffickers trapping millions of people in America. They use violence, threats, deception, debt bondage, and other manipulative tactics to force people to engage in commercial sex or to provide labor or services against their will. According to the International Labour Organization, more than 40 million people are victims of human trafficking globally, with 25% who are children and 75% are women and girls. Of these human trafficking victims, 81% percent of them are trapped in forced labor. I think that this problem is not going unnoticed. There are many organizations that are trying to help this problem, like the Polaris Project, which operates the National Human Trafficking Resource Center hotline, provides services and support for trafficking victims, and works with survivors to help end human trafficking.
