In the article that I read was from Pew Research Center. They talked about how different groups view racism in America. They covered different aspects of racism from questions like how much does your race define you and your personal identity (it defined nonwhites much more than whites) to how does race affect one's ability to get ahead. I think this topic is very important as in order to make change you need peoples either support or lack of opposition. As long as people deny racism change will be very hard. These studies show that there are many people that even within the same groups disagree on what affects racism and many minorities abilities to get ahead. Along with this it also points out racial divides in racism itself where blacks were more likely to quote entirely different discrimination that they deem important than what whites thought were important. This is interesting as it can change the way we view racism and hopefully try more productive ways of combating it.
