How the World is Actually Improving
There are many things that are improving in the world. It is not just increasingly getting closer and closer to an unfixable environment. The main problem that is revolving around this is the amount that everyday people know. surveys show that only 8 percent of U.S. citizens know that poverty has drastically dropped in the last 20 years. This problem around awareness is hard to fix since everywhere you look it is mostly negative news. News on TV mostly advertises negative things and don't really show too much positive news. Between the year 2000 and 2017, global hunger levels have gone down by a lot, in the graph shown in the article you can see how much even large countries like china can improve on the number of hungry people in the country. I think that this article is really important and I think that a lot of people should see it. There are a lot of people who find it hard to find the good side of things especially with the state of the environment currently. However, graphs and charts like these are actually not only interesting but also very optimistic. I think that this is a good thing to tie back to the government topics we went over earlier in the year because most of the charts are tied to things that the government has gone over or is currently working on and this is really closely related and also provides another perspective than the generally negative one we see in the media.
